FULL DESCRIPTION
A good quality and heavy solid mahogany oval dining table seating up to six people and made by a skilled craftsman in c. 1775.The wide bed with two extensive leaves which rise level and flat on original gatelegs to form a large and stable oval dining table. All set on well carved cabriole legs terminating in slipper feet and with most attractive and original hocked hips and shaped apron.
The table has a lovely rich and even colour and is in very good original condition with only a couple of small losses, a few very old worm holes to the sub-frame below the table top - long since dead, and some soft bruising and wear consistent with age and use.
