FULL DESCRIPTION
A particularly fine Georgian corner cupboard made from Honduran mahogany with wonderfully figured crotches of solid mahogany to the lower doors. The whole with highest quality detailing including a losenge carved and dentilled cornice, with larger reeded losenges flanking the framed panel below. Of grand country house proportions, the glazed upper case with original hand made glass and astagral bars enclosing two original fixed shelves and a set of three small mahogany drawers all with original finely cast button handles. Original brass H hinges and escutcheons to upper and lower case. The cupboard doors opening to reveal two fixed original shelves.

Minor scuffs to the shelves consistent with age and use, some depletions to the lower edges of the back boards as is usual and shown in our photograph.

The back boards original also, working key to both upper and lower cupboard and all set on attractively shaped original bracket feet.

A good example in a very fine mahogany of particularly good colour, very well cared for, and in the same ownership certainly since 1840 and possibly since made in c. 1800.
