FULL DESCRIPTION
A beautiful Victorian barrel and scrolled back 19th Century settee which has, this week, been re-padded to meet fire regulations and newly upholstered in a heavy jet black velvet chenille.

The settee easily seats two people and is extremely comfortable with deep and wide seats and plump rolled arms. Of attractive proportions with a lovely buttoned back which has a good and gently supportive rake.

The whole on short tapered spade feet to the front and slight sabre legs to the back, all terminating in solid brass casters which work smoothly and properly.

The hand finished and substantial oak frame is in good original condition and is sturdy with no loose joints and a few bruises and knocks consistent with age and use.

A most attractive and completely useable period settee which would compliment traditional or modern decor and furnishings and is ideal for a smaller cottage or living area.

The fabric is a pure jet black but as it is a chenille the lights in our studio have bounced off the texture and greyed the colour out a little

This is a good quality Victorian setttee, sturdy and robust and far more beautiful "in the flesh" than our photos show.
