FULL DESCRIPTION
A beautiful figured walnut lowboy of particularly good colour and small well balanced proportions with cabriole legs to front and rear and the top with bookmatched burred walnut veneers, a deeply crossbanded border with box stringing and re-entrant corners. The three frieze drawers with crossbanded and strung borders, lovely figured walnut faces and original and dovetailed and slender boarded full oak linings. Each with finely engraved and snape fixed handles - period examples but not original.Lovely rich colour and patination throughout, very good quality and in excellent condition with no worm or damage and only minor and superficial bruises and tiny knocks consistent with age and careful use.
With superior patina, a lovely original and early British example made by a skilled craftsman in c. 1750
