FULL DESCRIPTION
A very beautiful and extremely comfortable solid rosewood armchair - perfect for the fireside on these cold days - newly and professionally upholstered in a top quality heavyweight Chenille fabric of Regency design.Well padded throughout and the chair extremely robust and heavy. Lovely serpentine front rail with well turned front with carved tulip hocks and flower cartouche. The arms scrolled at tops in the empire style so fashionable in the Regency period.
Made by hand in around 1830. In very good original condition.
Dimensions are: 36 inches high, 29 inches wide at feet, 26 inches deep max. Chair seat is 20 inches front to back, height of arms from floor is 22 inches and height of back from seat is 22 inches.
