FULL DESCRIPTION
A beautiful pocket watch stand modelled as a long case clock and made from apple wood in around 1830.

In excellent original condition with satinwood strung plinth and original green velvet lining to the watch compartment. One small loss to the inner rim of the face at 8 pm. Ebony and satinwood stringing to uppermost edge and a stepped ogee cornice with tiny dentil frieze of ebony and satinwood marquetry. Original sliding back panel, lined and padded in original green velvet, no tears or damage, some fading and wear from use.

All made by hand and inside you can still see make out the fine chisel marks.
Lovely colour and patina to the stand.

Sold with a solid silver pocket watch hallmarked for London 1906 and the maker`s initials EW Co (English Watch Company of Faringdon Road, London EC. First Registered in September 1889, ceased trading in 1906).

Enamel Dial in need of restoration, movement ticks briefly when wound.
