FULL DESCRIPTION
An early English elm tavern table with original three plank top over shaped solid elm trestle slab ends with original pegged stretcher. Wonderful rich and well developed colour to the elm with a rich swirling grain and deep natural patina.

The table is very heavy and sturdy and has no later timbers, no breaks or repairs. There are marks, wear and bruising consistent with age and use and which add to its patina and charm.

Seating four to six people, a marvellously simple linear table made by hand between 1690-1720 and a country piece of fairly primitive form with oodles of charm and character.

Dimensions are:

25.5 inches wide, 54.5 inches long and 26.75 inches high.
